PARIS, Jul 3, 2006/ FW/ --- Store windows, by virtue of its simple existence characterizes the beat of the city they are shown. Mannequins, the denizens of store windows, in turn define the beat of the city as each represents the proposed look and style for the season.
At Rue Saint Honoré, Paris’ foremost shopping district in the city’s first arrondissement, mannequins sport the current fashion from high-end houses like Escada and Christian Lacroix to street wear at Pinko.
Each store use distinctive mannequins, as distinctive as the brands that they represent.
At Escada, the mannequins are all white – from their platinum blonde hair to iridescent white paint.
At Christian Lacroix, the mannequins are ‘romantic’ with freckles on their faces; while at Pinko, mannequins are young and energetic.
All these store windows are dynamic, telling a complete story no matter how simple the presentation looks. The ambiances of the brand they represent are clearly defined.
All these store windows are straight forward, with minimal props used. The mannequins in their poses and interaction say it all.
