LOS ANGELES, May 18, 2004/ FW/ --- Fetish by Eve, the signature clothing line by
rapper/actress Eve was launched only last Fall 2003.
Less than two years after its inception, the is going to be re-launched as women’s sportswear,
headwear, footwear and luggage, via a partnership with Marc Ecko, urban lifestyle fashion
pioneer and founder of Ecko clothing line.
The new collection is expected to hit stores in Fall 2005.
Currently, Fetish by Eve has urban active wear, denim and fashion forward separates for young adults and juniors. The line is under license with Los Angeles-based Innovo Group.
Will Eve continue the licensing agreement with Innovo after the new Fetish lines had been launched under the aegis of Marc Ecko?
“At this point in time, Eve has not decided yet whether to continue or not her licensing
agreement with the Innovo Group,” said a spokesperson for Fetish by Eve. “With Fall 2005
slated as the launch of the new line, there is still a lot of time to make a decision.”
In a statement, Marc Ecko commented that he “foresees many synergies between Marc Ecko Enterprises and Eve as a brand,” and plans to put together a team to build the new line.
“Eve has an amazing fashion approach and vision,” Marc Ecko added.
Commenting on the partnership, Eve offered, "It's an ideal match working with Marc and his organization on the re-launch of Fetish. I've always appreciated Marc's design sense and he seems to have a sophisticated understanding of me as a person and as a brand. I expect the new Fetish will offer consumers the same high caliber as the other products I've brought to market."
