Kenneth Cole Designs One-of-a-Kind Teddy Bear For Charity

DALLAS, Jan 7, 2006/ FW/ --- What do Maria Bello, Kenneth Cole, Jennie Garth and Tom Glavine has in common? They all created one-of-a-kind teddy bears for an online auction sponsored by 1-800-flowers.com to benefit ‘Save The Children’ foundation.

Kenneth Cole, a highly respected designer and a household name when it comes to fashion is well known for his philanthropic work. His twice-yearly fashion show in Bryant Park during the New York fashion season always highlights a charitable initiative before the start of the catwalk preview.

Teaming up with 1-800-flwers.com, together with Maria Bello, Jennie Garth and Tom Glavine to design teddy bears to raise funds for international children’s charity ‘Save The Children’ is only one of the many volunteer works that Cole supports.

1-800-FLOWERS.COM and Save the Children lined up a diverse list of notables for this fashionable fundraising effort. They include supermodel, actress and talk show host Tyra Banks; Golden Globe-nominated actress Maria Bello; legendary designer Kenneth Cole; actress Jennie Garth; Major League Baseball pitcher Tom Glavine, and the casts of two of daytime television's longest-running dramas, As the World Turns and Guiding Light.

The celeb-styled bears that are also autographed is being auctioned online beginning January 5th to raise funds for this leading children's charity.

Charity-conscious bear lovers can then participate in the ten-day auctions for each bear beginning on Thursday, January 5th and ending on Friday, January 13th.

One hundred percent (100%) of the winning bids will be donated to Save the Children. Each winning bidder will receive the collectible teddy bear and its framed, autographed sketch.
