DALLAS, Jan 12, 2006/ FW/ --- Next month, it’s not only the Fall 2006 womenswear collection that will be unveiled by Bill Blass. The company will also reveal its new footwear collection, created in collaboration with The Fashion House.

In a statement issued yesterday, it was announced that The Fashion House had signed an exclusive footwear deal with Bill Blass, with two collections set to debut at the World Shoe Association Show in February in Las Vegas, and expected to hit store shelves in fall 2006.

According to the announcement, the development of the two brands ‘Bill Blass Couture and ‘Blass by Bill Blass’ will be overseen by industry veteran Dan Amado who recently joined The Fashion House as Senior Vice President and Creative Director.

Previously, Amado served as Senior President, Product Development at both Nine West Group and Aerogroup International.

Bill Blass Couture will retail between $300 and $500 and will target upscale women who invest in their wardrobes. Blass by Bill Blass will be a secondary collection targeted at a broader audience.

Bill Blass joins several Oscar de la Renta and Richard Tyler as licensors at The Fashion House.

Fashion House’s lines include O Oscar An Oscar de la Renta Company, Oscar by Oscar de la Renta, Richard Tyler Couture, tyler. Richard Tyler and now, Bill Blass Couture, Bill Blass Collection, Blass Sport and Blass by Bill Blass.
