LOS ANGELES, Aug 30, 2006/ FW/ --- Since 2001, Ecco Domani has been giving a boost to emerging fashion designers with the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award. Winning the EDFF has become a coveted prize and honor for young design talents.
Two weeks before the Spring 2007 New York fashion season begins, the search for six young designers who will receive a $25,000 fashion grant from EDFF begins.
The deadline for sending applications is on October 13, 2006 and the forms can be downloaded from www.eccodomani.com
EDFF has given a major boost to young designers for the past six years. Victoria Bartlett, with her clothing line, VPL, was one of six winners this year who received 25-thousand dollars to stage a Fashion Week show.
“I wouldn't have been able to produce my dream show without the help of Ecco Domani,” commented Victoria Bartlett in an interview. “Winning the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award is a tremendous honor and gave me the recognition I needed to push my fashion career forward.”
Victoria Bartlett is scheduled to unveil her Spring 2007 collection in New York this September.
Together with her 2006 co-awardees, Brian Reyes, Hanuk, Rodarte, Vena Cava, and Rag & Bone, their presence in the New York fashion calendar give aspiring fashion designers hope that their dreams can come true.
