DALLAS, Apr 30, 2007/ FW/ --- With the mantra, ‘Drink Tea. Win Scholarship. Experience the Calm-A-Sutra of Tea This May!’ the Tea Council of the USA, today launched the Calm-A-Sutra of Tea™ nationwide scholarship competition awarding one creative student $20,000 towards their education.

The prize also includes an all-expense paid trip (round-trip airfare and two-night hotel accommodations) to New York City, a chance to appear live on the CBS Early show on June 4 with Justin Guarini of American Idol and an afternoon tea at a trendy New York City tea salon.

The contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Puerto Rico, who are at least 16 years of age as of April 30, 2007. The deadline for submission is midnight on May 28, 2007.

Contestants must submit 1-2 minute homemade internet video himself or herself drinking tea (hot or iced) in the most unusual, unique and/or off-beat scenario.

The video must incorporate some aspect of the man health-related benefits of drinking tea, specifically black, green, white and oolong tea, with no specific commercial brand mentioned.

Entrants may submit multiple video submissions, as long as, in the judgment of the judging panel, each subsequent entry is dissimilar from any previous entries the entrant has submitted.

The videos will be judged by a panel of representatives from the Tea Council based on the following:

Entries that contain any nudity, sexual content, inappropriate language, unsuitable behavior or adult material will be automatically discarded and not considered for submission.
