DALLAS, Jun 2, 2007/ FW/ --- Jeans & Jewels Event, the social event of the year in Indianapolis had the best time ever with Tissot outfitting each of the Indy 500 field drivers with a watch.
Held last May 23rd at The Conrad Hotel, the 30 male drivers and the 3 female drivers, including Tissot's Brand Ambassador, Danica Patrick all walked down the red carpet wearing a variety of Tissot styles.
The drivers highlighted different models from Tissot's current sport collection: Tissot Quadrato, PRS516, PRC 100, T-Race, Diver Seastar 660, and the Tissot V8. Like the drivers themselves, these watches capture the dynamic feeling of the race.
As promised, the Jeans & Jewels Event was a casual and hip affair, albeit the presence of a red carpet. Guests were decked out in their favorite jeans and all the bling they could muster, ‘borrowed’ from Kirles Jewelers, the Indianapolis Northside store that supplied the bling for the night.
For a $50 donation, any guest could head to a special room to select a necklace, bracelet or earrings to wear just for the evening.
The second fundraiser for the year by the Indy Family Foundation, donations raised during the evening will benefit the Benevolent Fund of Motorsports and the Women's Fund of Central Indiana.
Still, it was not just the bling and the watches that attracted the revved up crowd. The Conrad Hotel tempted guest's palettes with a Chefs competition from the finest chefs around the country. And as a tribute to their artistry, the Chefs were also outfitted with Tissot watches by the Le Locle, Switzerland-based company.
"Tissot has a strong tradition and presence in the world of motorsports worldwide and here in the U.S. Our involvement as the Official Watch of the Jeans & Jewels event allows us to show Tissot's dedication to the sport and to the Indy 500 drivers," said Olivier Cosandier, Brand Manager for Tissot U.S.
"We appreciate the opportunity to give our support to this charity event and continue to strengthen our relationship within the sport, by giving these watches to the drivers," Mr. Cosandier added.
