NEW YORK, Feb 10, 2008 / FW/ — It already sounds like a cliché when a fashion critic writes ‘red carpet worthy,’ but there’s nothing cliché-ish with Mark Badgley and James Mischka presented last week at Bryant Park. Sixteen exits of gorgeous gowns for the final segment of the show just take your breath away.
From the slinky strapless gown in silver with ostrich feathers to the royal purple gown sheered at the waist then flared flawlessly to the floor, anyone who wears them will automatically be on the best-dressed list on the red carpet.
Known for their impeccable tailoring, the design duo also made sure that the ladies have something to wear by day. Turtleneck pullover in cashmere, wrap dresses circa 1970s silhouette, slouchy pants paired with loosed fitting jackets and mini separates with Courrèges style jacket paired with suede over-the-knee boots are best-dressed winners already.
Take note of the totes and purses too, they are destined to be fashion must-have when they hit the stores.
