MILAN, Feb 26, 2008 / FW/ — Enrico Coveri put together a Fall Winter 08/09 collection born from the heart with true, natural and instinctive qualities. Made for the working woman, or just a woman with a lot to do, the collection makes a strong statement for the strong woman. Always with an array of brilliant bright colors, Coveri always seems to lift the fashion mood.
Bright orange tights with an array of pink, purple and green heels were just a small part to the color excitement. This years print consisted of an array of colors put together in a stained-glass-window style flower print. Green, yellow, pink, purple and orange were in color cuts outlined in black and on a white base. The strong color combo created and aggressively happy print that boldly decorated a large part of the collection.
Dresses, pant’s and yes sequin get-ups all took part in the print parade. This season though Coveri also had a toned down side to the collection. A mild anthurium print matched with a brown based pink and yellow speckled tweed, spoke to the softer side of the Coveri woman. High turtle necks and shaped pencil skirts were business and feminine at the same time.
The eveningwear though, was back in full Coveri force, in playful mixes of shapes and colors. All mid-thigh in length it’s amazing how so much color can be put into one dress and still work. One playful strapless design started from silver and spread to blue, green, yellow and purple a somewhat mini version of a rainbow.
The youthful design elements and colors in the collection show what Coveri was aiming for, a playful pureness born from the heart. Coveri believes that if your busy it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, he obviously follows his own advise as you can see in his collection.
