DALLAS, Apr 6, 2008 / FW/ — Being bi-costal has its advantages. Juan Carlos Obando understands the West Coast customers, especially the Hollywood crowd. At the same time, he also caters to the Fifth Avenue socialites as he mixed uptown sensibilities with movie star glamour.
For Fall 2008, Obando proposes neutral color palette beginning with the double-breasted coat with wide continuous collars to the beige floor-length halter gown with matching opera gloves.
Short-cropped jackets are proposed to keep the wearer warm instead of the traditional wrap, making wearing a gown hip! And though Obando did not break any new grounds in fashion, his sensitive treatment of glamour dressing make his collection one of the most highly desirable for Fall 2008.
