DALLAS, Apr 27, 2008 / FW/ — After a few years absence from the New York catwalk, R Scott French staged a comeback last February under the tents in Bryant Park during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week presenting his Fall 2008 menswear collection meant for the regular guy.

Known for using ‘real men’ on the runway (though he actually used male models last February), R Scott French strength is based on he could design clothes that the guy next door or the guy you’re living with “can” and “would” actually wear.

From double-breasted coats to one-button and two-button coats, R Scott French made sure that his clients would have the classics in their wardrobe. Yet, Scott French did not forget the more avant-garde either as he also proposed metallic silver and gold for bombers and jackets.

R Scott French did not break any new grounds on fashion, but he did make sure that regular guys feel that fashion designers have not forgotten them.
