PARIS, Oct 8, 2004/ FW/ --- This summer will be very long in tulle and organza in smokey pastels.
Akris is all about ease and classic ensembles. Feminine lady-like soft fabrics and cuts made this collection very wearable. Dusty beiges and taupes gave wonderful expressions to dresses of silk and raw linen.
V-neck blouses were in sea blue and stone. Cardigans were paired with stone washed double face cotton coloque skirts. Bustiers were key items in white linen under tailored jackets.
Mocha and burgundy looked elegant on chiffons and lace gowns and skirts. Stretch wool pants suits were unconsturcted in black.
Nude black ribbed cotton tanks were covered in St. Gallen lace over golden beige silk organdy fabric. Dark brown leather amulettes set off golden beige bottoms.
The show concluded with presenting empire waist and silk crepon gowns in sea blue and taupe. Each gown had a sensual flow and fluidity that mesmerized the audience.
