Basso & Brooke: Italian Geisha Girl

LONDON, Feb 17, 2005/ FW/ --- Starting out with signature Italian style showing printed shirts with matching trousers, Basso & Brookes moved on to many other enlightened themes.

For their sophomore collection, they are styling a new age Geisha girl with a red lip. Prints were in overload with this design team duo. Skirts were padded and puffed along with many gaudy accessories. They intricately mixed the Far East with signature Italian style that was unique.

Hold looks with dynamic motifs were seen on pieces that were inspired by kimonos and obies. Skirt silhouettes carried pants underneath and major fringe on models gave it a heavy Asian influence.

The show had so many drastic twist and turns from small yellow capes to dramatic hooded drapes styled with veils. It is definitely a must see collection that could not be toned down if one tried…

The show was still dramatic but definitely less shocking than their first show last September.
