NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2004/ FW/ -- Cat Swanson's Spring/Summer 2005 collection was entitled "Quetzal", a beautiful tropical bird from Central America. Understandably so, since Swanson dressed her Quetzal models in pieces that seemed like they were either headed to or coming from that part of the globe.

Vibrant colors of green, white, orange, blue, lime, emerald and peach in luxe soft fabrics of silk, georgette, and charmeuse that was cut to show the silhouette of a woman's body in all the right places.

Soft and elegant details such as scalloped hemlines and putting 2-3 layers of contrasting colors on some of the skirts that gave the outfit that tropical feel to it.

She also showed some leather minis in white and lime and some boleros to help fend off those not so hot nights.

Key pieces in the collection included the white pique bravo suit jacket worn over a magenta catalina blouse, over a multi lola skirt, the vanilla rio gown and the quetzal gown.
