LOS ANGELES, Oct 28, 2004 – Another debut collection on the Los Angeles 7th on 6th Mercedes fashion calendar was exposed lunchtime yesterday as the beauty of ‘Bella’ for Cesar De La Parra hit the runway for spring summer 2005.
De La Parra journeys down a multi influenced fashion road, from airy volume to structured oriental servitude bondage and corsetry for a classy lady cum femme fatale.
Frilly French knickers peeked from under cute baby dolls worn with fluffy colorful jackets before slipping into seamless ripped handkerchief edge tops and straight-legged flat fronted cotton summer trousers. Patchwork and paisley print silk chiffon tops fell lightly, dancing behind in the cool breeze as his ladies walked.
Silhouettes are feminine and defined in sexy sensual satin pencil skirts and fitted full-length evening gowns that fishtail at the knee and where ruffles are a must as they cascade on slinky silk and delicate chiffon.
Suede corsets are laced tight accentuating breasts and small waistlines in Asian like obo influenced details turning daytime assertive lady into domineering evening temptress.
De La Parra worked in sequence and put together a well-executed show with refreshingly less girly and womanlier looks coming hard and fast to a live percussion accompanied score.
