DALLAS, May 18, 2007/ FW/ --- For the past several menswear seasons, unisex dressing had taken center stage wherein the a girl does not have to ‘borrow from her boyfriend’s wardrobe,’ anymore because she can shop from the same store he shops and get exactly the same outfit and it would fit her.
Last March, Cosmic Wonder did the same thing, except that it’s the other way around; the man borrows from his girlfriend’s closet! And the great thing about it, the man does not lose his masculinity when he wears it, and the woman stays femme when she’s the one who is wearing it.
Trousers are slim but not tight fitting, while jeans are boot cut. Jean jackets in denim and white are proposed sleeveless or long-sleeved. The formal suit jackets are collarless.
From highly conceptual work, Cosmic Wonder also took a 180-degree turn and turned to streetwear, making this collection very wearable and commercially viable.
