NEW YORK, Sep 16, 2006/ FW/ --- Fetherston's show was probably one of the most awaited shows in the UPS tents. Her background is impressive enough having already shown haute couture in Paris.
Her technique and designs are definitely of a Parisian aesthetic. As the green silk onezy opened with a pink organza blouse, Fetherston's luxe fabrics could already be spotted.
As Lilly Cole floated down the runway in soft flowing fabrics, Fetherston was making major statements. Bag potato sack trapeze-inspired cotton dresses were amidst a sea of florals and taupes.
A pair of high waist pants with a bow on the back gave the collection versatility. Boxer shorts with bow detailing followed with a workable white cape. One could see Erin's grandiose use of appliqués, crepe, organza and chiffon.
These fabrics were seen on gowns and nighties with scallop ruffles. The black tulle baby-doll ball gown was ornamented with miniature flowers. The blue drop waist gown had a couture appeal.
Fetherston did not over exceed nor disappoint her audience with her Parisian chicness.
