J.Lindeberg Women To Show In New York Under Creative Director Marcella Lindeberg

DALLAS, Nov 5, 2005/ FW/ --- It’s still three months before the New York Fall 2006 season begins, yet there is already a new name on the roster, J.Lindeberg Women.
In a statement last Thursday, 21st Century Lifestyle, owner of the J.Lindeberg line officially announced that J.Lindeberg Women Fall 2006 collection would be presented in New York.
In the same release, it was also announced that Marcella Lindeberg, wife of Johan Lindeberg, Creative Director of 21st Century Lifestyle brand J.Lindeberg has also been appointed as Creative Director of the J.Lindeberg Women line.
"Marcella has always been the muse for J.Lindeberg women's collection and has been very involved with the design. Now it's time for her to take full charge and add the integrity and authority it requires,” said Johan Lindeberg in a statement.
Marcella, who studied photography in New York, has been involved with the J.Lindeberg line since it was launched in 1996.
Dividing her time between New York, Milan and Stockholm, Marcella Lindeberg together with her husband Johan decided to settle in London’s Nottinghill, where they now live with their daughter Blue. Both are frequently traveling between the two design studios in London and Stockholm.
The J.Lindeberg label is currently more associated with menswear, the new collections for the line being shown in Milan in January and July. Four months ago, in collaboration with PUMA, the J.Lindeberg Future Sports Golf shoe was launched.
Under the umbrella of 21st Century Lifestyle, the company’s product lines include J.Lindeberg Concept, Progressive Tailoring, j.lindeberg.denim and Future Sports.
Marcella’s appointment as Creative Director for its womenswear division completes the 21st Century Lifestyle offering of the J.Lindeberg brand. It is also underlines the label’s commitment to its female customer base and broadens the company’s all encompassing lifestyle.
Currently, the company has 10 flagship stores and distributed in 25 countries.
