LOS ANGELES, Oct 25, 2004/FW -- Kevan Hall debuted on the Los Angeles runway tonight at the Smashbox Studios came out the best of three shows for the day, screaming of Hollywood glamour.
Giving the collection 1940’s and 1950's flair, it was very much “at home” with the Hollywood crowd sitting front row - Lawrence Fishburn, Carmen Electra, Tisha Campbell Martin, Sharon Lawrence and Charlotte Ross.
Showing 37 exits with that very classic American look, enhancing a woman's every curve with sophistication, elegance and confidence, Kevan Hall wowed and impressed the red carpet denizens.
Lawrence Fishburn, Carmen Electra, and Jay Alexander of America's Top Model literally applauded all of the looks presented.
Using various pastel shades of lemon, mango, (white) jicama, taupe, petal pink and kiwi green for his color palette that was quite delicious to the eye.
Kevan Hall's tailoring had a hint of that French/Parisian flavor and is such a good welcome breeze for LA that should blow in more often.
His use of flower appliqué, bead work, feather, sequin and the incomparable Swarovski crystal giving each outfit that sexiness and sensuality that every woman always looks for with every outfit.
Using soft luxe fabrics of silk taffeta, silk crepe, organza, silk charmeuse, and silk chiffon shown in a halter dress, sarong dress, a Harlow draped gown, envelope gown, cross-over bodice dress, signature twist empire gown, corset back gown and Millicent Rogers striped blouse over gala skirt just to tease the audience.
So if you have a fabulous event set for the coming Spring/Summer 2005, look for one of Kevan Hall's creations that will truly give you plenty to choose from and satisfy your craving.
But don't be surprised if you see it parading around one of Hollywood's glamorous "red carpet" events since the show deserved the standing ovation it received at the end of the show.
And rightfully so, since Kevan Hall is not a minor leaguer when it comes to designing since he used to be the Creative Director for Halston back in 1998 to 2000.
