NEW YORK, Feb 11, 2005/ FW/ --- In another Texas moment at Olympus Fashion Week, Texas native Lela Rose celebrated modern feminine dressing with 30 pieces of golden and metallic looks that she proposed to her social register clients for Fall 2005.
A 1993 graduate of Parsons School of Design, who launched her eponymous label in 1996, Lela Rose has attracted the interest of the social set, which currently includes the Bush Twins, Barbara and Jenna, whom she created gowns for the recently concluded Presidential Inauguration ceremonies.
So, it’s not really surprising that for Fall 2005, Lela Rose’s collection speak of voluminous details on sophisticated and luxe silhouettes, a tribute to society ladies that inhabited her front row last Wednesday morning.
And to think that her show was scheduled at 9:00 in the morning, the ladies being around to see Lela Rose’s latest collection is a demonstration of their support for their favorite designer. And they were not disappointed.
Lela Rose sent a collection that embodies a relaxed and luxurious lifestyle and clothing that seems effortless and implies a sense of glamour and nonchalance.
Take for example the strapless snow-white quote dress that is deceptively simple in design, yet a must have for your wardrobe. It can be worn as it is, or add jewelry for more sophistication, and then wear a fur coat over it, and voila, you’re ready to go out and paint the town red.
Though the Lela Rose ladies do not have to worry about their clothing budget, one great thing about the designer is that she allows her clients to mix and match, and have their own style with what she offers them.
And that is one of Lela Rose’s greatest strengths – giving a freedom of choice to her clients while dressing them beautifully at the same time.
