Mélodie Wolf PARIS, Feb 28, 2005/ FW/ --- Mélodie Wolf has been steadily gaining steam over the past recent seasons. This was evident today by the major members of the international press who turned out early for her Fall/Winter collection.

She began the collection with a baggy black dress. Wolf made it clear that her volumes would be the key element to the success of the collection and to it being well received. It is actually the best single element of the collection. It is seen over and over again and particularly in the cut of the sleeves.

Her semi-puffy sleeves top was interesting as was the blue dress that followed. Her coat in blue is a winner. It looks to be half painter’s coat and half graduation gown. It’s really nice to see with its billowy opened-wrist elephant sleeves.

Her capes are very appealing with triangle panels removed from both the front and the back. One is also “part poncho”.

Of all the pieces, I single out the knit skirt ensemble. It has large flaps on each side of the hips that looks very nice in motion.
