SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 23, 2005/ FW/ --- A celebrated designer in his native South Africa, Paul Munroe studied Civil Engineering (1989) before enrolling in a fashion design school (1992) in Johannesburg.

After graduation, Munroe continued his design studies at the GFD Design Emporium (1994-1995), gaining enough knowledge to open his made-to-measure studio for custom garments in 1996.

In 1998, Paul Munroe debuted at the South African Fashion Week, and continues to show there.

In 2000, he started lecturing at the GFD Design Emporium on a freelance basis and two years later, he took ownership and management of the school while continuing to develop is eponymous label.
