NEW YORK, Feb 10, 2006/ FW/ --- Peter Som’s 34 looks for Fall 2006 exemplified his signature style of mixing form with function for both his day and eveningwear as well as the elaborate coats that were previewed this week here in New York.
He seems to have no particular theme in mind but simply the feeling of a season at hand, and that is fall. But it’s all right since he delivered some promising pieces to the runway with just a few misses.
Giving his fair share of coats and capes, he featured a jet-black astrakhan coat with wide fur trim on the hemline as well as a white & silver fox capelet and a Rovalia mink stadium coat that will most certainly keep you warm at the same time stylish during those cold wintry days.
Although his grey blouse with a ¾ sleeve dolman style sleeve with standing collar worn underneath a jumper style dress with balloon style hemline seems to have been out of sorts, he made up for with his black tuxedo style skinny pants worn with white tuxedo style shirt or a matching jacket with a chantilly lace blouse with raw edge that peeks out of the jacket’s neckline, giving the look that dainty delicate touch and a lean, elongated silhouette.
Peter Som also did not falter from the trend widely seen at Bryant Park this season choosing mainly a black and white color palette with a splash of rose print chiffon blouse matched with a corduroy skirt placing emphasis on the waistline with a wide belt.
