MILAN, Feb 22, 2005/ FW/ --- Pollini’s autumn/winter collection has a thick 1920’s theme as models sported bob wigs atop their long tresses.

The collection was full of life with metallic finished skirts, handbags and shoes which opened the show. Great maxi mini skirts that almost touch the knee were detailed with beading and ruffles.

These skirts were teamed with burgundy tights that offset the light colored outfits. Many of the skirts had wonderful waist coats which were often trimmed in fur or leopard print.

Accessories were in a full array with long 20’s style beads. These beads were very intricate seemingly made out of plastic or plexiglas in a cylinder shape. In light blue and red, the beads also were double used as belts.

Leopard flopper’s hats were in full affect with dynamic feathers, which looked very aristocratic for that kind of girl.

Metallic throw back pumps with cute front straps and side buckles and suede boots with metallic patches kept a modern twist to such a vintage inspired collection

A black and white striped fur coat was a key piece with matching skirt. The collection progressed to showing more daring prints and motifs with circles and swirls mixed with dots.

These garments, which adorned these prints, had wonderful details, but could be overlooked due to the styling. Low drop waist ruffle chiffon skirts were very chic teamed with more military style coats with multi silver buttons down the lapel.

Although the hemlines were raised a few centimeters higher from the 1920’s, the garments still did not lose the feel of a lady of the turn of the twentieth century.

High waist trousers were made in heather gray, but in a comfort jersey material. These trousers will possibly be the new casual, but chic Friday look in the office.

A bob is always a classic hair-do that will never go out of style, just like Pollini’s style and image.
