MILAN, Sep 27, 2005/ FW/ --- Turkish designer Rifat Ozbek for Pollini twists Spanish flair into a spring summer 2006 collection for the lady of understated charm.
Empire lines, V necks and pencil skirts help create the slim silhouette created by Ozbek who leaves fun for the cropped jackets and mini hemlines before choosing Spanish lace and seductive shoulders along with careful details in edging to help give a twist of niceties and adventure.
Prints, ruffles and pleats are ladylike and elegant rather than being excessive, leaving rather something of the slightly exotic to tie the collection together.
Summer dresses and sultry evenings are part of the simplicity that makes Ozbek a success as he continues to produce a wardrobe that is discreet and unfussy where straightforwardness is the key to the supple delight of simply dressing well.
And with the hats by Philip Treacy, there was an interjection of fun and carefree attitude, taking off some of the edge from a rigorous day yesterday that started at 9:00 AM and would continue until 9:00 PM.
