MILAN, Feb 23, 2005/ FW/ --- Milan’s fashion week is not only a bombardment of the fashion elite and scheduled shows that run late, it is also the capital of fashion presentations, which are perhaps one of the only occasions that give one the chance to enjoy the touch and feel of fabrics along with the snacks and chats of close up fashion encounters.
Diverse and unique, Monday, Rohka presented an autumn winter 2005/06 collection in a series of innovative and rigorously stylish five minute segment performances.
Bathed in light, Rohka combines the spontaneity of the street and researched sophistication to create a colored and geometric femininity.
‘Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...’
So like John Lennon’s unforgettable words in Imagine, Rohka depicts peace via a wardrobe based on contrast and symbiosis.
Wool is mixed with metal, viscose with silk, luxurious hand stitched fur with prints and silky chiffon. Uniquely desirable, Rohka’s skilled craftsmanship includes acid dye painting, draping divine and the reworking of familiar geometric shapes.
