MILAN, Sep 27, 2005 / FW/ --- Re-invented sophistication in an ode to spontaneous improvisation, Rohka for spring summer 2006 is a delightful taste of something extremely feminine.
Structure made of the unstructured in a ‘return to order’, designers Maria Restrepo and Ian Phin take us on a journey someplace between ideology and practicality, like the unprompted happenings in the atelier during a trial or fitting.
Presented as always in a creative environment, the realization of the video ‘May I Take You Down The Corridors Of My Life’ by Otonella Mocellin and Nicola Pellegrini presented at the presentation of the talented design duo revolves around a young damsel walking the centre streets of Milan and lifting her dress.
The Soncini/Pellegrini project evokes fun improvised interaction between passersby, fashion, flesh and redefining femininity.
In a color palette of soft delicacies like greens that contain a touch of orange, stone greys mixed from contrasting tones in order to find a neutral and touches of bright light from acid green and carnation pink, Rohka’s forms are taken to a new level.
Draping, bias and precise cutting construct architectonical lines that incorporate volume and movement to create a collection filled with special nuances that define individuality and tailored technology.
