PARIS, Aug 4, 2005/ FW/ --- In a season where color is one of the main trends, design duo Wendy & Jim decided to raise the ante a notch by working with prints created by Peter Kogler and those that are computer generated.
Named ‘Urban Camouflages’ by Wendy & Jim, the colors are red and green with the designs based on the original artwork of Austrian artist Peter Kogler. Then using a graphics program on the computer, the prints were superimposed on each other, 2 layers on 2 colors, resulting to a contemporary and modern look.
And if you like the prints, the silhouettes are a joy to behold. Done in black, petrol-blue, beige and white, the fit is relaxed and casual.
To add a bit of formality, high collars and ties were added; again fit for the urban male who likes it cool and hip.
And though it had been said that for menswear, there is a limited number of ways you can cut a trouser and a shirt, Wendy & Jim’s styling makes this collection different and interesting.
The tone-on-tone pink shirt and pink windbreaker, the solid olive green shirt with a white high collar paired with an olive green pair of pants with the original prints can turn female heads anytime.
The Wendy & Jim gent for Spring 2006 is not a peacock, but he sure knows how to make an entrance!
