PARIS, Oct 4, 2004/ FW/ --- Wendy & Jim were among two design duo presenting on the first day of the ready-to-wear season. Like a few other designers showing, they opted to show a small collection that showcases their strengths and mutual vision on fashion.

Their off-white suites and thin pants for both men and women are among the most consistent points in this collection. Most everything is completely wearable and done in a way that is not avant-garde.

Also from among the most appealing garments in this collection is a simple shirt in soft blue. It is in knit and has a small three-buttons V-neck plunge. The black dress with short sleeves, long collar is too very attractive.

There are jumpers in dark grey are cool, yet some silhouettes do appear a bit androgynous. Their simple pants in blue and white vertical stripes with one button are a definite classic.

The white knit dress with green squares was really my favourite piece of the entire collection. It is simple, easy to wear and speaks to women of today. Also, the knitted micro-dress in white with satin detailing in front drew large looks of approval from the capacity pack room.

Wendy & Jim’s small collection of well throughout out pieces speaks volumes about the apparent harmony that exists between the two designers. Although they are not trying to achieve a major shift in fashion paradigms with this collection, it is nice all the same.

As time goes by, it is clear that the design duo is becoming more skilled at what they do and with that, more confident. Once the sales start to really pour in for their work, they will be able to really show of what they are capable.
