Wal-Mart Announces 11.2% Increase in Sales For November
DALLAS, Dec 4, 2003/ FW/ --- Wal-mart hit it big during the biggest shopping day in the U.S., the day after Thanksgiving with $1.52 billion sales.
Today, the world’s biggest retailer reported sales of $21.657 for November, an 11.2% increase in sales compared to last year.

Guccio Gucci: The Patriarch of the House of Gucci
Dec 4, 2003/ FW/ --- Guccio Gucci (1881-1953) was the son of a Florentine craftsman and founded the House of Gucci as a saddlery shop in 1906 in Florence. For unknown reasons, he moved to Paris and then London where he worked as the Maitre d'Hotel at the Savoy. In 1920, when he was 39 years old, Guccio Gucci moved back to Italy.

Catherine Malandrino: Going From Strength to Strength
French-born Catherine Malandrino was a design director at Diane Von Furstenberg before she launched her label under her own name.
Since opening a concession in Henry Bendels snazzy department stores in early 1999, this French designer turned New Yorker, has gone from strength to strength.
