NEW YORK, Dec 17, 2001/ --- DuPont held an exhibition of the latest designs in Tactel and Lycra by designers including Miguel Adrover, Miuccia Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Richard Tyler, Gianfranco Ferre, Marc Bouwer and Catherine Malandrino at Whitespace in New York during the first week of December.

The stretchy fabric was used in diverse ways in everyday objects, from dresses to knickers, showing its versatility.

President of DuPont Global Apparel, William Ghitis, explained to FWD, "Tactel has been used successfully in ready-to-wear collections in Europe for the last five years. Designers appreciate its comfort, durability and style. We are hoping this will translate to the American market. The exhibition is a way to show the diverse ways Tactel can work for a designer."
