Aug 23, 2003 /FW/ -- With the summer box office season coming to a close, one movie is hoping to
laugh its way to the top of the box office with one of its funny leading ladies.
We know her best from her six years on Saturday Night Live playing characters
such as Catholic School Girl, Mary Katherine Gallagher, but now Molly Shannon is
hitting the big screen in David Zucker's "My Boss's Daughter".
Molly explains in an interview how filming one scene got a little out of hand.
"Carmen Electra thinks she has breast cancer, and she plays my girlfriend in the
movie," relates Molly Shannon.
"So, I bring Ashton in to say like, like look, here let him feel your
breasts, you know, he'll prove that you don't have breast cancer. And that was
just a little scene that we did."
"And we, Ashton and I were laughing so hard during that we could not keep a straight face.
I think I was always the one that would start giggling, cause I couldn't, like, it was just
like such a silly scene, so we laughed like for a half an hour, and finally they were like
come on stop laughing."
"So we had to shoot the scene, but it was a really fun scene to shoot you know," Molly Shannon
said.
