Dec 23, 2003/ FW/ --- For Grammy winner Alison Krause, contributing to the soundtrack of the hit film,
"Cold Mountain" was a special thrill.
Grammy Mammy, Alison Krause just rakes in the awards. On the "Cold Mountain"
soundtrack she performs two songs, written by Sting and Elvis Costello.
Krause,
a member of the Union Station band, says working with "Cold Mountain" soundtrack
producer T Bone Burnett, was another thrill.
She says T Bone, who won multiple
Grammy's for his work on the soundtrack for "O Brother Where Art Thou, had a
real influence on the music.
"He is a real lover of old time music and period music and just did an amazing
job for O Brother. And I haven't got to hear the whole sound track for this
movie. But, just from what I've heard so far, he's done it again, laughs. So ah,
I'm glad to get be a part of this one also," comments Alison Krause.
The Cold Mountain soundtrack also showcases performances from Jack White of the
White Stripes and ReelTime Travelers.
The movie hits theatre's Christmas Day but
the soundtrack is available now.
