LOS ANGELES, Dec 12, 2005/ MF/ --- Considered one of the most prestigious snowboard circuits in the world, the U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix saw the world's finest athletes descend on Breckenridge for the first stop of this USSA sanctioned snowboard series.
Some of these riders were Olympic hopefuls for the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Italy, some were Olympic champions, and some were going to be equipped with state of the art brand new hi-tech clothing in the half-pipe.
Imagine having full access to your iPod and cell phone without taking your gloves off?
Imagine no more, a new line of snowboarding clothing and protective gear can do just that, with a weatherproof remote control built onto the outside of a jacket sleeve and Bluetooth® wireless technology built into a helmet!
Jake Burton in conjunction with the Motorola company have made this possible and Mr. Burton knows a thing or two about new technology having turned an old ‘snurfer’ made of wood with a rope into the hi-tech snowboards that won 2 Olympic Gold and 1 Bronze medal in the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics for 3 young Americans sponsored by Burton.
Now Burton has teamed up with Motorola for the most advanced snowboarding gear in the world!
