Kate Moss PARIS, Jun 18, 2005/ FW/ --- Forbes Magazine has published its 2005 list of the world’s 100 highest paid and most powerful celebrities.

Oprah Winfrey, who forever lasting ranks near the top of the Celebrity 100 list, takes the No. 1 spot this year for the first time. After two decades in the business and of wearing various hats at the top of her Harpo empire, the queen of daytime earned her top ranking with her platinum hand in everything spanning from television and movies, to her television network, a book club and her number one-selling O Magazine

This year models and fashionistas dominate the overall rankings.

Among supermodels, Gisele Bundchen ranks number one with $15.2 million. She is followed by Heidi Klum ($7.5 million), Tyra Banks ($6 million), Kate Moss ($5 million) and Andriana Lima ($4.5million).

The list spans over wide variety of careers and includes actors, athletes, authors, chefs, director/producers, kid stars, musicians, models, magicians, personalities, speakers and naturally talk show hosts.

The list is composed based upon four important criteria: 1) pay, 2) web hits, 3) press clips and 4) TV/Radio. Due to the weight of each of criteria, money alone is not the determining factor in ranking and thusly, does not determine the final rankings.

Ironically enough, the supermodels are not alone on the list of those with their hands heavily planted in the fashion industry.

Oprah is the monthly covergirl of her O Magazine. She has also graced the cover of Vogue and was a featured model in one of its fashion spread.

Johnny Depp at N° 7 on the list has modelled in campaigns for H&M, while both Madonna at N° 8 and her current rival, Elton John at N° 9, have both been featured in international ad campaigns for Versace, while Jennifer Lopez has played model for Louis Vuitton. And heiress, model, perfume namesake, reality TV-star, etc. (etc., etc., etc.), Paris Hilton, ranks in at N° 55.

Other 100 celebrities with heavy ties to the fashion industry include tennis superstars Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, P. Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Andre Agassi, and the Olsen twins.
