LOS ANGELES, Nov 17, 2005/ FW/ --- Maybe it’s that Texas charm, or those blue eyes that looks right at you… no matter what it is, People Magazine voted Matthew McConaughey as ‘The Sexiest Man Alive’ for its 20th anniversary issue.

The tradition, which People Magazine instituted in 1985, marks a milestone tomorrow, November 18 as the magazine hits newsstands as special double issue.

According to PEOPLE, McConaughey is chivalrous, passionate and cooks a mean marinara. “I like the ‘Alive’ part,” McConaughey tells PEOPLE of his selection as cover boy.

“Now I’ve made it. Wait until you see the roles I could take after this. You’re going to see my gut hanging over, plus 22 [lbs]. It’ll be a whole new kind of sexy!” he added.

Being bestowed the title; McConaughey joins an elite list of good looking men that includes Hollywood heartthrobs Brad Pitt (who won the title twice), George Clooney, Pierce Brosnan, and Patrick Swayze.

In PEOPLE’s first-ever SAT (Sexy Aptitude Test) McConaughey opens up on everything from deodorant, “I haven’t worn deodorant in 20 years” and sleeping naked, “I’m not a pajama guy. I’m not much of a boxer guy either,” to his worst habit, “Nicotine,” and his biggest turn on, “Grace. When a woman is graceful, you can tell by the way she moves.”

On a perfect night with girlfriend Penélope Cruz, McConaughey reveals, “We get online or talk about some place we dream of traveling somewhere.” As for marriage, the actor reveals: “Have I met the right woman already? Maybe. Has it been the right time? Obviously not.”
