Largest-Ever Traveling Space Exhibit Hopes To Build Interest in Space Exploration

NEW YORK, Dec 26, 2005/ MF/ -- Thirty-three years since the last man walked on the moon, the largest traveling space exhibit ever is hoping to launch interest in a new generation of space enthusiasts.
“SPACE: A Journey to our Future” features space experiences you could never find any place else on earth. The exhibit features rocks that you can touch from the moon and Mars, a virtual visit to the red planet and dramatic space video – including the last moonwalk even on Dec. 14, 1972 by Apollo 17 commander Gene Cernan, the last person to walk on the moon.
The exhibit, which is sponsored by General Motors in collaboration with NASA, is currently
at The New Detroit Science Center In Detroit, Mich.
