DALLAS, May 2, 2006/ FW/ --- ‘Anglomania’ is an exhibition that celebrates British fashion from 1976 - 2006, so it’s not surprising that fashionistas came in force last night at the gala dinner.
It’s also fitting that all the co-chairs for the evening are British – Anna Wintour, Edito-in-Chief of Vogue, Christopher Bailey, Artistic Director of Burberry and Sienna Miller, actress.
Alexander McQueen & John Galliano also graced the evening. But, it was not an all-British affair. Donatella Versace was also there, hosting a table and dressing several attendees that included Jennifer Lopez who chose to wear a Versace pale pink silk chiffon asymmetric one-shoulder gown instead of one from her own JLo collection.
Sarah Jessica Parker wore an Alexander McQueen and arrived with the designer himself. Naomi Campbell, Gemma Ward and Jacquetta Wheeler also chose to wear McQueens.
Yves Saint Laurent by Stefano Pilati were seen on Linda Evangelista and Chloe Sevigny, while Kim Basinger, Emmy Rossum, Lauren Bush and Karolina Kurkova decided to go domestic by choosing Ralph Lauren.
The beautiful Selma Blair looked stunning on Chanel haute couture, while Anna Wintour, Charlize Theron and Gisele Bündchen opted for Dior haute couture. Bridget Moynahan shone in her Armani Privé.
Stuart Townsend wore Dior Homme by Hedi Slimane while Jimmy Fallon chose Giorgio Armani. Rupert Everett, Lenny Kravitz, and Marc Anthony looked dashing in Versace.
Jennifer Lopez, Liz Hurley (in Chopard jewelry), Maggie Q and Ciara also chose Versace.
Screen sirens have very eclectic choices with Drew Barrymore in Oscar De La Renta, Marcia Gay Harden in Escada and Scarlett Johansson in Stella McCartney.
