DALLAS, Jul 12, 2006/ FW/ --- As announced last April, Versace and TAG Group, parent company of TAG Aviation are collaborating to create an exclusive interior design service for the owners of private jets. Next week, the first interiors concepts for ‘Versace’ jets are being presented at the Farnborough International Air Show.
From Jul 17 – 23, 2006, flying enthusiasts can view and experience Versace’s latest offering on ultimate luxury – a jet interior created by Versace Design featuring furniture, fittings and furnishings from the maison’s renowned Home Collection.
Because applying a unique interior design philosophy to aircraft requires expertise of specialists in aircraft design, Versace collaborated with TAG Aircraft Interiors, Limited, a subsidiary of TAG Group, leaders in this field every fixture and furniture from Versace’s Home Collection can be adapted to air travel.
Versace Design provides a comprehensive interior design service, which operates much as an architect’s studio would. Clients collaborate creatively with architects and technical designers to conceive their ideal, personalized interior spaces, and Versace then turns these requirements into reality at the client’s chosen completion centre.
Versace and its designers will be responsible for all aspects of content, design and style, while TAG, with its 30 years experience as a world leader in the sale, completion and management of private jets, will take care of the logistical and technical aspects of the interior completion contracts.
The core models of aircraft interiors on offer are for the market’s largest private jets, including Gulfstream G 550, the Bombardier Global Express XRS and Global 5000, and the Boeing BBJ/737.
As an integral part of the bespoke service, Versace Design will create designs to address all their clients’ challenges: professional, domestic, holiday resort and now, private jet.
Versace will help those who fly in style to establish the floor plan of their aircraft and then create an exquisite and uniquely personal luxury interior. The service was conceived to answer the needs of the most discerning customers. Each custom interior will be unique to its owner.
In true couture style, the wishes of the individual will be taken into account, and this will determine the extent of patterns used, the combination of materials, and the configuration of the cabinetry and seating and sleeping areas which comprise the full interior environment. This is a “turn key service”, offering lamps, vases, plates, glasses, tables, and furniture (beds, closets, chairs, sofas).
