MILAN, Oct 20, 2006/ FW/ --- Renée Fleming, nicknamed, ‘America’s beautiful voice,’ and regarded by many critics as the world’s best soprano will perform in Piermarini’s Theater on November 5, 2006 wearing costumes designed by Gianfranco Ferré.

Ms. Fleming, who has enjoyed a special bond with Gianfranco Ferré since 1998 has been wearing the Italian design maestro’s creations both on stage and as part of her daily wardrobe.

As an icon of femininity and elegance, the 46-year old soprano has been included on the Blackwell list of the world’s best-dressed women.

The extraordinary recital slated on Nov 5, which, unlike any other performance, will exalt Ms. Fleming’s extraordinary voice, with its incomparable timbre and superb technique.

Mrs. Fleming, who will be accompanied on the piano by Mr. Hartmut Höll, one of the most respected chamber musicians and accompanists, will enchant the public with the most exciting items from her repertoire, ranging from classical music, including the best known operatic arias, to the finest contemporary music.

After the performance, Gianfranco Ferré will host a charity dinner in honor of Ms. Fleming, to raise funds for the Fondazione Francesca Rava – N.P.H. Italia Onlus.

The event will be held at the head office of Gianfranco Ferré in Via Pontaccio 21.
