LONDON, Sep 24, 2003/ FW/ --- After a mad show last season that saw them interpret electro fashion, the duo Aaron Sharif and Sachiko Okada, designers of the label Blaak took a less satirical look at fashion this season with their spring summer 2004 range elementary as oposed to excessive, selective rather than undefined.
The collection presented on the London catwalk showed weekend wear with geometrical prints
and cuts matched with the simplicity of the summer sandal.
These true Londonites took multiethnical and street influences to fresh heights.
Pants underneath skirts, midrift tops with wide necks from the assymetrical V to large
hoops and the reworked shirtdresses made for a casual jeanswear look.
Their never failing fraying present on everything from jackets to large multi-layered skirts
reinforcing their point of view that raw is beautiful and now.
Pants were often buttoned at both sides reminiscent of recent Naval trends in mens clothing,
but baggy in the crutch like those of Russian dancers complete with deep pockets.
Floral has become the recurring element of the London shows this season and hence expected,
and out it came.
Floral printed puffed and elastic ribbed light casual jackets matched with black and white
African printed roomy shorts.
Black, red, white, yellow, pink and beige the principal colours of the simple and thought
about collection.
