New York, May 2, 2001/FWD/ --- Carolina Herrera's bridal gowns are in a class of their own: their
elegance and exquisite tailoring are among the best in the field. And nowhere was this reputation
better confirmed than at the Spring 2002 bridal presentation in Herrera's New York showroom yesterday.
The lineup of gowns ranged from traditional to modern, all with an underlying theme of grace and glamour.
A classic ballerina ball gown came embellished with pearls and crystal beads. A satin strapless gown
featured a belted waist and a pleated skirt with a chapel-style train.
And for the second, or
even third-time bride, Herrera showed skinny beaded pants in ivory with a matching ivory sleeveless top
that tied in the back.
But the true highlights of the collection were an embroidered ivory coat with mink
trim, and a duchesse satin gown with a funnel neck and cap sleeves that is exclusive to Herrera's store.
