MILAN, Jun 24, 2003 /FW/ --- Jockeys please take your places. Roberto Cavalli
lets us in on his true loves, thoroughbred horses and yatchs. The
"hyper-luxury" where leisured hobbies become free times' emblems.
The curtains, as if whipped back by a sea breeze, opened to a stocking
thin transparent wall as backdrop backstage, where models changed and
moved onto the catwalk.
Silk shirts and pants in foulard print, where leopard hide frames
exotic coloured florals and vice-versa.
Small bomber jackets in nappa
leather and tops sport diamond inlays and cut-work portholes.
Tops
with traditional jockey motifs, light parachute silk jackets move in
the breeze.
While for trousers, jockey pants, wide at the thigh and
tight at the claves, or trousers with braces and straps and lacing at
the rear, sail like rings are used as belt holes, threaded with knotted
foulards as belt.
For evenings the tailored suit has luxurious feathered lapels, the blue
blazer with gold buttons is transformed into slick shiney python
enhancing the slender male shape, making him sexy and charming.
Embroideries and nautical knots on peasant shirts and black denim
polished like the hulls.
Final run of jockeys a la 'Scuderia degli Dei' ('Stable of the Gods')
equipped with a saddle on the shoulder, direct from a race at Palm
Beach.
