DALLAS, Mar 14, 2005/ FW/ --- For his second collection for Celine, Roberto Mennichetti opted for classical tailoring and sophisticated silhouettes, raising the bar several notches for the Paris fashion house.
Mennichetti whose mastery of tailoring techniques is well known emphasized the waist this season, proposing neatly tucked waistlines for both dresses and pants.
Pencil cut pants were paired with snug fitting jackets pinned trimly at the waist, giving a very feminine yet very smart look and feel.
Skirts in python skin or in prints and solids hug the hips adorned with thin belts, then flared regally into gores, godets or tiny pleats.
A coat became a combination trench and cape, while a kimono-inspired coat trimmed with fur stood out as a very classical and smart look.
Meant for ladies with discerning eyes and taste, the Celine Fall 2005 collection embody the spirit of the classics and bring sanity back to fashion.
