MILAN, Jun 24, 2003 /FW/ --- Classic and sensual, western and eastern, Cerruti 1881
blends past and present for the spring summer 2004 collection.
A sandy beginning on a dusty catwalk, the good, the bad and the ugly cowboy
from the west strides, complete with wide bullet, often double belts along
with shoulder saddle bag slung across his chest.
Grey classic traditional Cerruti elegance mixes sportive cargo pants together
with short tailored jackets, often without collars hinting at an eastern
european influence.
Leather and suede are imprinted and deep colours of tamarind, navy blue,
hazel, burnt orange, paprika and imperial yellow gives them a vintage touch.
Dynamic wear is characterized by the molded silhouette and fluid volume
of wide stitch knit pullovers, thin cardigans to accentuate the male form.
The double soul of the classical man is bought to the forefront, switching
from the intellectual to bohemiene realistic comfort.
In the return to essence and values belonging to Cerruti, a brand restyling
decision has been made that each and every Maison Cerruti collection will
bear the name Cerruti 1881, starting from the spring summer 2004 mens collection,
signing its first line (grey), its diffusion line (cobalt) and its sportwear
collection evolved from the latter (orange).
