DALLAS, Mar 11, 2004/ FW/ --- The Espace Éphémère Tuileries hosted the Fall 2004 runway show
for Chloe designed by Phoebe Philo last March 4 in Paris, at a time slot before Jean-Paul Gaultier would debut at Hermès.
In her own quiet way, the young designer held her own against one of fashion’s giants, presenting a collection that was stylish, wearable, and most of all, commercially viable.
Giving a nod to the romantic trend this season, Phoebe Philo flowing pleated dresses like the sleeves aqua evening dress with a black bow cinching the waist. And to keep the Chloe ladies warm, Phoebe Philo threw in a black coats and cardigans, adding drama to the already beautiful outfit.
And speaking of coats, Chloe’s big proposal this season is horse blankets worn over jeans and jodhpurs, finished off with a scarf. The suggestion – Chloe ladies are not just city creatures. They also visit the country if they are not jetsetting between continents.
Low rise, generously cut pants is another big theme. With scarves functioning as belts, the look is very feminine.
Chloe is young, chic and energetic, like its current head designer who has continually shown winning collections season after season.
