Collette Dinnigan: Great Talent From Down Under

New Zealand-born Collette Dinnigan started as a lingerie designer. Her lingerie were so pretty that her clients started wearing them as outerwear.

A graduate of Wellington Polytechnic, she moved to Sydney after graduation to work at the Costume Department of the Australian Broadcasting Commission.

In 1990, she launched her own label and debuted at Australian Fashion Week in 1995 and continue to show there. She also shows her collection in Paris.

She was chosen the 1998 Designer of the Year in Australia and won the 1997 Louis Vuitton Business Award.
