MILAN, Jan 14, 2007/ FW/ --- Ennio Capasa was never afraid to experiment, taking inspiration from the past, then converging the historical silhouettes with modernistic lines, then turn them into sartorially desirable pieces.
For Fall 2007, the lithe form of the Ninja found itself once again on the Costume National runway, wherein the traditional mask they wore became an extra long turtleneck that can be stretched up to the wearer’s nose level to ward off the cold of winter.
The Costume National gent has a stark mysterious allure, wearing cummerbund belts on slim cut trousers paired with V-neck sweater worn over a tone-on-tone tie and shirt.
Soft patent leather jackets, that come in either black, burgundy, red or blue is the outerwear of choice. With rounded shoulders and slim fit, the big pockets on the side are balanced with the zipper in front.
Dress shirts sport the signature origami-inspired embellishments. And though black remained the dominant color palette, different shades of gray and beige, with several washes of luminous black actually gave the collection a sense of being colorful.
Dynamic, with a primal quality, Ennio Capasa’s vision continues to excite the very fickle world of fashion.
