Dominique Morlotti: A Sunday Morning At The Louvre

PARIS, Jan 27, 2003/ FW/ --- Dominique Morlotti's Fall 2003 collection was much more
convincing than the one offered last summer.
To begin with, first class models were used to great result.
Following a pattern this season, black seems to be the predominant color, with charcoal
and dark chestnut added in to form a somber foundation for this collection.
There was lots of leather finding its way into trenches, pants and Spencer-like vests.
The cut of suits and jackets was rather loose contrasting notably with a fine chartreuse
sweater, which molded the torso.
A set of sleeveless shirts even seemed to be designed with muscular guys in mind.
For sparkle, there were satin pants and black velour evening suits, one even inlaid with sequins.
Flowing, ankle-length coats rounded off a strong collection.
