MILAN, Jun 28, 2005/ FW/ --- Dean and Dan served up a lot of Western hospitality early in the morning as usual with the ‘Rough Rider’ collection.
As Kayne West and Usher escorted by Veronica Web took their front row seats the curtains opened to a full western barn house set complete with real horses.
This collection is all about dressing down, but looking like you dressed up for the occasion. Denim overall dungarees are all the rage along with deconstructed jackets.
Grandma patchwork faded plaid shirts fully accessorized with a hand stitched front tied kerchief is a must for cattle herding.
The sun-kissed models were all in the best of shape in their slim fitted low hung trousers. Layers are definitely in for summer even if most of the denim jackets were belly cropped and tailored. The hottest item of the collection is a denim backless vest.
Lightweight frilled leather Indian style jackets were a key look as well. Of course the West could not have been won without leather pants.
DSquared put a twist on leather chaps by putting larger pockets on the trousers and making them in a more relax fit.
For great night looks the darker than night denim jeans are teamed with blazers and tuxedo shirts with hints of sequins. The classic summer white suit made its appearance but with a comfortable effortless allure because it was styled with a traditional cowboy tie.
Giving a spectacular show is their niche and DSquared definitely did not disappoint the audience today.
